Coffee Terminology
Acidity
Also referred to as tangy. Often has to do with the altitude the coffee was grown at.
Acrid
Typically bitter and unpleasant. Opposite of acidic.
Winey
Can leave your mouth feeling tight – similar to a dry wine. Often attributed to a “clean” taste description. Adds dimension to the taste experience.
Body
Full body is equal to a robust flavor. No prominent flavor but a heavy feel. The heavy feeling comes from the insoluble coffee fibers that are suspended in the brew.
